Have you ever wanted to merge several PDF files so that you could email or post a single file for students to download? To merge PDFs, I use a website called PDF Merge Free. You simply drag the files into the box on the webpage and arrange them in order. Next, click “Upload and Merge” and then the “Download Merged PDF” after the process is complete.
I use a simple website called Doodle when scheduling a meeting or finding the best time to set office hours for students. You can use Doodle poll to schedule a time and date to meet. You don’t need to register with the site to create a poll. I find this tool very useful. It helps when setting office hours for online and blended courses where students need flexible time slots.
When sharing files with students or colleagues, we commonly run into issues with sending files that are too large to be attached to an email. This is especially true when trying to send PowerPoint slides or video lectures. To solve this issue, I use a free website called Swiss Transfer. You simply drag your file onto the webpage and it creates a custom link for others to download the file. Next, copy and paste the link into your email. There is an option to password protect the file and limit the amount of times it can be downloaded.
