This short video shows how Boeing builds its 737 plane in just 9 days. The factory manufacturers 42 planes a month, which is the highest rate in the world. This provides a good example of the flow of manufacturing activities. It shows how Boeing starts with materials and parts and ends with testing and delivery of the plane to the customer.

MERCHANDISER— This brief video shows an amazon distribution center in action. This video offers a good example of a merchandiser every student is familiar with. Further, it provides a good opportunity to review the cost flows of a merchandiser from inventory to cost of goods sold.
MANUFACTURER— This is an in depth video into the steps required to manufacture t-shirts. It provides a good distinction from a merchandiser and also provides a good example of raw materials, work in process inventory, and finished goods.
